Lahore: New rates for the construction materials are expected to be announced by dealers on April 15 – after the lockdown on construction activities is lifted, a news source reported. According to report, these prices are already rising in the open market.
As per the publication, a special PIA plane fetched the supplies to help Pakistan combat the COVID-19 infection. The medical supplies included 15 ventilators, 132,000 masks, 200 forehead thermometers, 11,000 protective clothes, and 21,000 COVID-19 detection kits.

Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ruled that dual nationals permanently residing in the country cannot be categorised as ‘Overseas Pakistanis’, a news source reported. To this effect, Justice Jawad Hassan authored a judgment wherein he stated that a person should be living abroad in order for him/her to meet the labelling criteria of the Overseas Pakistani Commission Act 2014.
Karachi: US-based Pakistanis (originally hailing from Karachi), in collaboration with the Drug Free Pakistan Foundation (DFPF) have launched a local relief organisation called ‘Karachites’ to help the city’s hard-hit families amid the going coronavirus lockdown, according to a news report. The organization, operating from its Gulistan-e-Jauhar site main office, is engaged in distributing rations and other essential items among the needy.
